She was born in 1959 in the glorious capital of England, in a family of popular actors: Erich and Freda Lou. Her sister Sophie is an actress as well. In 1995 she performed the character of Eleanor Dashwood in the movie based on Jane Austen’s novel “Mind and Feelings”, for this role she wrote the scenario herself. For this movie she was nominated as the best actress and the best scenario writer. In the course of three next years she went away from performing in the movies, and started taking care of the personal life. Her affair with Greg Wise, lead to her divorce with Bran in 1996. In 2003 she bore a mutual child with Wise.
