Wes Study was born in December 1947. He is an American actor who became famous due to creating the images of built in Americans. Also he played in various Oscar winners’ projects. He was born in No fire Hollow, which is located in the state of Oklahoma, in a family who were the ancestors of the old Cherokee tribe. His mother Maggie was a housewife, while his father Andy was a simple worker on the ranch. He was studying in an Indian village school, and till high school he was able to speak only the Indian Cherokee language. In 1967 he was called to the army where he spent a year and a half in Vietnam. Later he was demobilized in Tulsa where he went to the Youth College. Soon he was recognized as a talented theatre actor who was also an American playwright of the Indian Theatre Company. It is interesting to know that also he was one of the first people who were working in a newspaper. When he became an actor he was mostly performing the roles of the brave and severe Indians, such as the Pawnee tribe’s Indian in the movie “Dancing with the wolves” which was directed by Kevin Costner. Later in 1993 he was invited to perform the main role in the movie “The American Legend”. In 2002 he played the role of Lieutenant Joe Leporine in popular TV show set by Robert Redford on the PBS channel.
