HBO’s vampire drama series True Blood comes to an end tonight with an episode titled “Thank You.”
The show aired successfully for seven seasons and Alexander Skarsgard admits he’s already missing it. Speaking to E! News, he recalled shooting the final scenes and how emotional it all was for him.
He said: “It was the saddest moment of my career, for sure. I was ready to move on creatively. I thought it was time, so I was sort of prepared for it, but I cried like a baby. It was so sad. The last couple of weeks leading up to my final scenes that I shot were extremely emotional. I’m already missing it.”
Skarsgard finished the shooting earlier than the rest of the crew, because he had to go to London and start working on Tarzan, so he didn’t remember to take a souvenir from the set.
“But then I was talking to Kristin Bauer van Straten a couple of weeks ago,” he said. “I was already in London, because I wrapped before the other guys to start Tarzan, and she said that she took her fangs. I thought, ‘That would probably be fun to have,’ so she’s got my fangs waiting for me in L.A.”
