It looks like Amanda Bynes is definitely back on track.
After becoming a student at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, the troubled actress now got her driver’s license back. It had been suspended following her two hit-and-run charges in 2012.
Bynes was spotted driving a black BMW with her father Rick in Los Angeles on Sunday, People reports.
The Hairspray star was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit-and-run charges in 2012, which is why authorities suspended her license.
She completed her psychiatric treatment in December and is now working on her full recovery and trying to rebuild her life.
She should learn to drive a manual transmission (stick shift) car like they do in the UK. It forces you to be more engaged in the whole driving experience, and it’s harder to be texting and driving when you have one hand on the steering wheel and one on the shift.
It’s great to see her doing so well. She wasn’t just some hardpartying starlet drinking herself to death, she has one of the most serious mental disorders out there. Living with schizophrenia, even after getting treatment can be such a struggle, but she seems to be coping very well. Best of luck to her and her family.
