Filming nude scenes in Lovelace was a liberating experience for Amanda Seyfried. The actress said she didn’t undergo special diet or exercise regime to prepare for the role and felt comfortable getting naked in the movie.

She said: ”I felt liberated. Growing up I was made to think nudity was wrong because it was censored in movies but it was like, ‘what’s the big deal?’ I run every day and I try to eat well. Linda was thin but if I stopped eating, I’d just look gross.”

The 27-year-old actress also revealed that she and co-star Peter Sarsgaard went to a dinner together to get over any awkwardness before filming their intimate scenes. She said: ”We had a dinner before filming and we talked about why he decided to do the film. I think his wife, Maggie Gyllenhaal, convinced him to do the role.”

Amanda, who plays a famous adult movie star Linda Lovelace in the movie, revealed she had seen her first adult movie film when she was only six. ”I was five or six. Six, I think. It was a cop – a guy dressed in a cop costume … and it was the first time I’d ever seen a pod, and I remember it being very graphic … it was so terrifying. It was funny. But it was also, like, so, so, so wrong,” she said.
