After wrapping two movie adaptations of Broadway musicals, The Last Five Years and Into the Woods, Anna Kendrick will hardly ever accept a role in this genre again.
The actress says that making a musical is an extremely demanding job and doesn’t want to do it anymore.
Although she set to appear in the Pitch Perfect comedy sequel, Anna claims it’s not as vocally challenging.
“I never want to sing again, honestly. It’s hard as f**k,” she said. “The Pitch Perfect (sequel) is going to be fine, 10 girls have to be able to sing the songs so it’s going to be fine, but doing The Last Five Years and then Into the Woods straight away, I was like, ‘I don’t want to have to think about my voice so 
much. I want to be able to drink beer whenever I want.'”
“Honestly, after the original Pitch Perfect, I wouldn’t have ever wanted to do a musical. I would have intentionally tried not to do a musical, but when it’s The Last Five Years and Into the Woods, you can’t really say no,” Kendrick added.
Anna Kendrisk is a very beautiful and amazing actress. Still, if she doesn’t feel comfortable doing a musical it is her choice! It is hard to perform something nicely – give it 100% when you do not like it and feel it hard to be done. The work should bring satisfaction, then the viewer will believe it. I can understand why the actress refuses her further shootings in this type of movies.
Ha ha, poor Anna Kendrick, I thought she liked music but it seems that not really, I had no idea that life of the singers is so hard. No beer! Really? That is impossible the majority of news I read about music bands is about them getting drunk here or there and having a DUI after it, so that is why it is that difficult for me to believe that people who sing are not allowed to drink as it might affect their voice. Probably the producers simply tricked Anna as they wanted her to stay sober all the time. Bad news Anna you have been busted. And from the other part, I don’t care whether Kendrick will keep singing in the musicals or not, as I hate musicals and all the drama crap, but I do care about seeing her in more movies as I like a lot the movies she plays in, anyway, wish her lots of luck in all the new projects that she will eventually have, and can’t wait to see them.
I adore Anna Kendrick, she is the image of the complete innocence and at the same time she is very intelligent. There are not that many actresses in the world who are able to comprise those two features. And the other thing about her that amazes me is the fact that she can both sing and perform at a very high level. People are saying the truth than they state that if a person is talented in something than its talented in everything. I totally agree with that one. And think that this is the way it is supposed to be. I wish I was at least half that talented as she is, or at least to see Robert Pattinson with my own eyes.
I love Anna Kendrick’s song “When I am gone”, mm actually when I heard it the first time I thought that it is Rihanna’s song, I mean I thought it is Rihanna singing. So I guess it is quite a big compliment for a star that just started singing, and BAMM! Her song is on the top of music charts and she is already not only a Hollywood star but also a famous singer. It think she should not stop her carrier as a singer also beside being an actress, because if a talent is not properly nurtured and kept care of, than it goes away, which would be such a big shame, for all of Anna’s fans, and for me in the first place.
