In an interview with The Times, Antonio Banderas has revealed that he and Melanie Griffith have agreed not to publicly speak about the details concerning their split.

“We have got an agreement together that we’re not going to talk about it and I don’t want to break it. Probably in the near to mid-future we will be able to talk. But not now,” the actor explained.

The former couple announced their separation in a joint statement in June. Divorce papers cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind the split.

Antonio and Melanie were married for 18 years and have a 17-year-old daughter, Stella, together.
