I’ve always wondered what the numbers are on celebrity divorces. It seems like every celebrity couple ends up divorced eventually. There’s something about famous people that makes it impossible for them to co-exist in a relationship, clearly. The latest victims of this trouble are Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz. They were married in May 2008 so they didn’t even make it three years. The real shame is that they have a kid together so now things are going to be a little bit worse for the young one.

The couple appeared to be happy. A few days before the filing they were spotted out and about as a family and everything seemed good. Then, bam, everything went to hell and they filed. Irreconcilable differences is what’s being cited but friends of the couple speculate that Ashlee just can’t deal with Pete’s behavior anymore. He has a wife and kid but he still acts like a college kid in a bad, which apparently isn’t a great way to raise a family. Ashlee is demanding full custody of their son along with spousal and child support. Hopefully more information will come out about what all went down so we can get our juicy celebrity gossip fix.
