Oscar-winning actor Ben Kingsley has joined the cast of Disney’s upcoming film adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book.
Kingsley will provide the voice of panther Bagheera in Jon Favreau’s movie. He joins previously announced stars Idris Elba, Scarlett Johansson and Lupita Nyong’o.
Speaking of the cast, director Favreau said: “Idris Elba’s going to be the voice of Shere Khan and we’re talking to Lupita Nyong’o and Scarlett Johansson as voices for some of the other animals.”
“We’ll be using state of the art visual effects to show a jungle and animals in a way that hasn’t been possible before,” he added.
