While they are still on tour together, Jay Z and Beyoncé keep facing rumors that their marriage is on the rocks and to make the situation even worse, Beyoncé reportedly went apartment hunting alone.

According to the New York Post, the singer was spotted secretly viewing a $21.5 million Chelsea penthouse in Manhattan last month without her husband.

A source told the newspaper: ”She was very quiet, as if she was looking on the sly.”

The couple currently live in a much larger apartment in Tribeca and that’s why insider believes that the penthouse in Chelsea is for Beyoncé only.

The source added: ”I can say with certainty that Jay is not downsizing.There’s no way a $20 million apartment is for her mother or her sister. That would be wildly unlikely.”

This news comes amid reports of Jay Z and Beyoncé’s marriage breakdown.

A friend of the couple said previously: ”There’s still something there, even though it’s not going to last. Business is always part of the equation. Knowing them as I do, obviously there’s a little something to certain reports. When your man or your woman isn’t getting it done for you, and I’m talking emotionally, not necessarily sexually…they keep things quiet.”
