Chelsea Lee James was a fifteen-year-old girl who lost her battle with cancer last week. Chelsea was also a huge fan of Beyoncé and the singer had not forgotten about her. She sent her condolences to the James family with 90 white roses and a handwritten card.

The family posted a photo of the flowers and the note on Facebook.

The note read: ”Donna, love and prayers to you and your family. Chelsea was a beautiful girl and I am so happy I was able to meet her. She touched my heart and I will never forget her.”

Beyoncé also sang to Chelsea during her 2009 concert in Sydney, dedicating her song “Halo” to the girl. They met again during the ‘Mrs. Carter Show’ in November last year after the children’s cancer charity Camp Quality set up a reunion backstage.

After the concert, Beyoncé sent Chelsea a text message, saying: ”My beautiful angel! Thank you for the pictures. You have no idea how happy you made me seeing you. I will see you next time I’m in Australia. Love, Beyoncé.”

Chelsea’s mother, Donna, said: “There was a connection for sure, there was something about the both of them. Even the second time they met, Beyoncé yelled out her name and jumped up in the air, she was almost more excited than Chelsea was. Chelsea passed away with a smile on her face, and I know that smile is even bigger now.”
