Biggest celebrity spenders

If you had millions of dollars, how would you spend them? Would you splash out on mansions all over the world or maybe start collecting luxury cars? Perhaps you would invest your money in expensive jewelry or art? If you need ideas, check out how the biggest celebrity spenders do it.

Owen is a comedy actor popular for being laid-back and easy-going. But what most people don’t know is that the funny man spends serious money on tanning sessions. Owen obviously likes to keep himself tanned, spending $1,200 for every tanning session that he does around three times each week.

She is one half of one of the richest celebrity couples in the world and is well-known as a big spender, so it’s no surprise that she once bought a pair of gold Balenciaga leggings for $100,000. She also spent $1.7 million on a Bugatti car on her husband, Jay Z on his birthday.

Madonna

Madonna has sold more than 300 million records around the world, making her one of the biggest-selling female artists of all time. She has constantly reinvented her music and image successfully and she has remained to be one of the most influential figures in contemporary music. Time Magazine considers her one of the 25 most powerful women of the 20th century. She has converted to the Kabbalah religion, a form of Judaism. Every month, she has $10,000 worth of blessed Kabbalah water delivered to her home, as it is the only water that she would drink.

Victoria Beckham

Fashion is her passion, and shopping is her favorite activity. She once went out shopping and spent $1.6 million in one afternoon. She bought 12 pairs of Versace shades, set of luggage from Louis Vuitton, five sofas and a Rolex for her husband, David Beckham. She said: “I can’t help it…When I see something I like, I buy it in every color and I buy shoes in every color to match, as well as handbags! If I could, I’d go shopping every day.”

50 Cent

He used to be a drug dealer back in the 80s when he was just 12 years old, but 50 Cent has come a long way since that. He is a successful rapper and aspiring actor and owns a record label called G-Unit Records. He now lives in a Connecticut mansion formerly owned by Mike Tyson where he spends $20,000 a week for security services alone.

Nicolas Cage

Over his 25-year career, Cage earned serious money, but his spending habits are insane. He bought Gulfstream jets, over 50 cars (all luxury sports models), castles, islands and even a $267,000 dinosaur skull. However, he also donated over a million dollars to Red Cross, so not all of his money went to waste!

P. Diddy

Few celebrities can spend money like P.Diddy does. His annual–and ridiculously expensive–birthday parties usually cost millions of dollars. He also has a penchant for designer shoes, clothing and sunglasses. His shopping sprees normally run in the millions, and they’re also quite frequent.

Kim Basinger

Buying the small town of Braselton, in Georgia for $20 million, with the dream of turning it into a tourist attraction that featured movie studios and a film festival, was a huge failure for Kim Basinger. She became interested in the town while stuck in a traffic jam. Along with other investors, she planned to turn it into a production studio and to develop a theme park. It didn’t work out and in 1993, five years after she and her partners bought the town, she sold it for $1 million and later declared bankruptcy.

Rihanna

I’m 50+ years old, the place I worked closed the doors and since then I’ve went to school to learn a new profession, worked for a company that can’t get enough work to keep us working steady, searched and applied for dozens of jobs and can’t find anything permanent and these foo;s throw away money hand over fist! Makes me sick. They could send me a million of what they’ed fritter away and I could retire!

In the world today, with honest hard working people trying to make a living, throwing away $100,000 on leggings, I don’t care who you are, is just plain STUPID!!!! It is a shame that these people have no more common sense than that, and personally I hope they go broke and no would care. I can understand splurging on some things, but really, seriously, $100,000 on leggings. Most people would love to have that much money much less throw it away like that. I for one would love to have a house that cost that much, paid off, food on the table when we want to eat, not just when you can afford it, just plain stupid. This is why I will NEVER buy nor listen to this person!!!!!

Maybe it is because if we knew who the big spenders were, we might hit them up. I know if someone really wanted to throw money away, I would let them know that I could use a couple hundred thousand. Haven’t been able to find a job in over 2 years. Not homeless yet, pretty close. I wake up stressed and go to bed stressed. I just want one time to know what it is like to go and buy something without looking at the tag to see what the price is. I would love to help out my kids in these bad economic times. It’s horrible. I pray things will get better and now I can just hope and have faith. So for all the big spenders out there, I am happy for you, it beats being in my shoes.
