Yoga is an ancient practice developed in India and one of its main purposes is to create harmony in mind and body. It has tremendously grown in popularity within the last ten years and has become a trend in Hollywood. Today many stars do yoga and swear by it. Check out some of the hottest celebrity yoga fans.

Madonna practices Ashtanga (aka astanga) yoga, which is a style which encourages more dynamic movements and transitions between the postures. “I’ve been practicing yoga for a while now, and it’s an incredibly powerful and positive force in my life,” she said.

Britney Spears

Britney Spears has revealed that she practices yoga to keep both her mind and body healthy. “It’s like my go-to between all anxiety and everything,” she told TV host Ryan Seacrest last year. “I’m doing a lot of yoga right now. I think if you find the right instructor it does wonders for your body, it really does.”

Lea Michele

The Glee star started doing yoga and meditation when she took a friend’s advice and went on a spiritual retreat to help her cope with the grief of losing her on and off-screen boyfriend, Cory Monteith. It was during this retreat that she learned and started to love yoga and meditation techniques.

Adam Levine

Adam Levine practices yoga religiously wherever he is — oftentimes on the road. Levine began practicing yoga when he noticed his lower back and hamstrings were causing him pain. Now, his yoga instructor Chad Dennis travels with him and guides him through postures before performances. Levine told, “Playing a show before thousands of people is a highly unnatural state…When I get on the mat to do an hour of yoga before the show, I come out physically relaxed.” Adam’s favorite styles of yoga include Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Anusara.

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer has been a long-time devotee of yoga, often crediting her good friend and instructor Mandy Ingber with keeping her body sculpted and toned. Aniston is a faithful follower of Bikram and believes in the results it gives. As a result of Bikram yoga, “My legs got leaner. My arms got strong. I’ve maybe even grown half an inch from aligning my spine,” Aniston said. She has also admitted that yoga helped her survive the divorce from ex-husband Brad Pitt.

Michelle Williams

In 2010, Williams co-founded the Yoga for Single Moms project with two friends in Boston. The goal is to help and enable single moms to practice yoga by providing a venue where they can do so with simultaneous but separate day care for their kids. Michelle told Marie Claire magazine that meditation and yoga helped make her a better person and mother, and that it helped her cope with the death of her daughter’s father, actor Heath Ledger.

Robert Downey Jr.

Robert Downey Jr. practices yoga with Vinnie Marino, a yogi famous for his effective teaching style. In addition to yoga, he also uses massage therapy and martial arts to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The actor says that yoga helped him overcome his addictions. “Talking from personal experience I overcame an addiction to various stimulants and pharmaceutical drugs through the active pursuit of something better for myself. I have never been to rehab, though I absolutely have faith in the yogic lifestyle as my rehabilitation. I wouldn’t be alive today without it. I used a combination of daily yoga, (five days on and two days off) running (three to five times a week for three to seven kilometres a session) and veganism to cleanse my body of many years of unhealthy partying, toxic relationships and unhealthy body image,” Downey explained.

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow’s dedication to yoga is admirable. The actress wakes up at 4:30 AM six days a week to practice yoga, all the while maintaining a very clean diet. Paltrow credits yoga for giving her strength that she never knew she had, as well as a completely different psychological outlook. “I’m really not a morning person at all, it’s just sheer determination. I’m very strict with myself. When I practice six days a week and eat clean food, I feel much better,” the actress says.

Jenny McCarthy

She loves Bikram Yoga so much, she built her own studio in her backyard. Jenny also claims that she managed to lose 65 pounds of baby weight by practicing three times a week and watching her diet.

Woody Harrelson

Woody Harrelson once said that doing a headstand is the best hangover cure, and even talked to Playboy about yoga’s love benefits. He said: “Yoga is the best thing for your love life! It keeps you limber in all kinds of ways. It teaches you to love your body and your partner’s body. But more than anything, it keeps your mind liquid, and nothing’s sexier than that… I think yoga is a great way to force your outside of your mental and physical rigidity.”

In order to understand our selves, we must first understand free pinboard hollywood celebrities. Many an afternoon has been enjoyed by a family, bonding over the discussion of free pinboard hollywood celebrities. While much has been written on its influence on contemporary living, spasmodically it returns to create a new passion amongst those who study its history. Inevitably feelings run deep amongst so called ‘babies’, who just don’t like that sort of thing. Though I would rather be in bed I will now examine the primary causes of free pinboard hollywood celebrities.
