Working as a double for a huge movie star such as Brad Pitt might sound interesting but in reality it’s not exactly much fun. And it doesn’t pay much either.
David Paterson, who was Pitt’s double for World War Z, was paid $6.75 an hour, so he earned total of $120.
Paterson told Daily Mirror: ”I basically had to be Brad for the day and copy everything he did on screen. Brad was there the entire time, and they were filming over the course of months, so it must have been quite tough. I was paid $120 but it wasn’t anything to do with the money. I’m not too fussed about that. I did it for the experience. You get asked to do something like that and you can’t really say no. I didn’t get a VIP pass for the film, nothing like that at all, and I haven’t seen it yet. I walked away with around $120, no autograph and no VIP invites.”
He also added: ”Brad and I ran through a supermarket putting tins and jars into the trolley, acting out different scenes, and I was following his actions. I wore identical clothes to him, jeans, blue jacket and T-shirt.”
