Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett is confirmed to have joined the voice cast for How to Train Your Dragon 2. The announcement was made on Thursday (July 18) at the first day of the Comic-Con convention in San Diego, California. She will play a character called Vilka who dedicates her life to rescuing dragons from enslavement in the DreamWorks animation film, which is set for a 2014 release.
Cate is the latest A-list star added to the cast that includes Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, America Ferrera and Kristen Wiig.
