Kate suffers from a physical defect that’s actually pretty awesome—her eyes are different colors. The condition known as heterochromia left Kate with a right eye that is hazel and a left eye that is blue. It also gave the model/actress one of the most interesting faces for magazine covers.

Mila Kunis is another stunning star with mismatched eyes, but she wasn’t born with a brown eye and green eye—one of her eyes changed colors because of a condition known as chronic iritis. Mila was blind in one eye for years and suffered a cataract before finally having surgery to save her sight.

The scar between Joaquin Phoenix’s lip and nose is obvious. It has long been thought that Joaquin was born with a cleft lip and the scar is the result of corrective surgery. This is not so. Rather, Joaquin was born with the scar. The scar developed while Joaquin was in his mother’s stomach. It is known as a microform cleft, a mild form of a cleft lip.

One of the sexiest women alive, Megan Fox, has a clubbed thumb. Her thumbs look like toes, the nails are small and abnormal and the thumbs themselves are short and fat. The clinical name for the condition is brachydactyly type D.

Halle has a sixth toe on one foot. Polydactyly is a condition where humans are born with an extra finger or toe. The extra digit usually appears as a piece of soft tissue without any joints. An extra toe is most commonly located next to the little toe. This toe is usually the result of a genetic mutation, and the condition is relatively rare, occurring one time in every 500 live births.

Vince Vaughn manages to hide his thumb well. When he was 17 he was in a car accident where he lost the tip of his right thumb. Now he jokes that it looks like male genitalia with a nail.

This Bond girl was born with six fingers on both of her hands. This condition is called polydactyly, and it affects about one in a thousand children. Gemma’s extra digits did not contain a bone and were located next to her little finger. The extra fingers were removed when she was born. The doctor who delivered her “tied off the extra fingers with sutures and they fell off, leaving just small scars.” Polydactyly runs in Gemma’s family. Both her father and grandfather were born with an extra digit. The actress is proud of her deformity, saying, “It’s my little oddity that I’m really proud of. People are really interested but repulsed at the same time.”

Jennifer Garner is another beautiful star that has been in multiple movies before people noticed her deformity. Jennifer has brachymetatarsia, a condition that causes the bones of one toe to be abnormally short, and in this case, crooked.

The actor a condition called syndactyly, an extremely common congenital defect. Ashton has webbed toes and he actually pulled off his socks and shoes on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross and showed his toes. He told the host, “I have slightly webbed toes. When everything else is this good-looking, something has to give!” The condition is purely cosmetic. It does not alter the way a human moves, nor does it make the person a fast swimmer. The toes can be separated through surgery, however there is no medical need to do so.
