Chris Pine thinks Hollywood is weird

chris-pine-star-trek-into-darkness-la_3663421 Unlike many other stars, Chris Pine thinks using social media to interact with his fans is a ”waste of time” and sees Hollywood as a ”weird bubble.”

The 33-year-old actor told The Hollywood Reporter: ”Hollywood is like living in a weird bubble. A bunch of people take care of you and get you stuff, and you’re the center of that little microcosmic world. You start believing that it is real and … you deserve it.”

Pine’s parents are both actors and, growing up and watching them fight for their careers, he became well aware of how the film industry works, with all the ups and downs.

”There was nothing romantic about the industry. I grew up in a family where sometimes chris-pine-celebrities-at-jimmy-kimmel-live_3668955work was good, sometimes great, and sometimes there was no work,” he added.

Asked if he would consider joining Twitter or other popular social networking sites, Chris said: ”F**k no! What am I going to tweet about? My sneakers? Or, ‘I have 140,000 friends on Facebook.’ What does that even mean? I find it to be a waste of time. The internet is so caustic; just a place where people get to spew nonsense and b******t.”

Agree, dude, totally agree! Social networks are a simple waste of time! We have forgotten how to live a real life and meet real friends and enjoy what we have to its fullest. Many take pictures just to put them on-line. I wonder how one can really have so many friends on-line, but in reality, none ever calls you.
