Motorbikes are Christian Bale’s great passion, but the actor is giving them up to please his wife, Sibi Blazic.
A source told National Enquirer magazine: ”Sibi has always had a problem with Christian’s love of fast bikes. She stopped him from riding them on the streets shortly after the birth of their daughter Emmaline, eight years ago. Since then, Christian has limited his riding to the race track under very controlled conditions.”
Bale hurt his arm in a December 2012 accident and his wife, who was deeply upset by the recent death of Fast and Furious star Paul Walker in car accident, wants him to quit bikes for good.
”Sibi doesn’t want Christian racing at all, and that’s going to be a real struggle for him … As tough as it is for him, Christian is going to quit racing for her. She rules the household and his attitude is, she’s the boss,” the insider added.
Sibi is right, the family responsibility and fast speed are not compatible. When you have a family, you should out not your own needs a priority, but the needs of your loved ones. Especially, when your child is so little, he/she needs father’s presence in his/her life. A mother also needs support having a baby to take care after. Besides, losing a person you love is a big grief, so I understand Sibi’s concern about Christian Bale giving up fast bikes.
