Oscars host Ellen DeGeneres made an all-star selfie during the ceremony and shut down Twitter.
She gathered Meryl Streep, Kevin Spacey, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Angeline Jolie, Jennifer Lawrence, Channing Tatum, Lupita Nyong’o, and Bradley Cooper, who took the picture, and broke the record for the most re-tweeted photo.
Ellen told the audience: ”So this is true. We just crashed Twitter. We got an email from Twitter, and we crashed and broke Twitter. We have made history. See, Meryl, what we did? You and I? It’s amazing, we really just made history. It’s fantastic. It’s back up again and it has the most retweets ever–and we’re all winners tonight, that’s what it means, that’s what I was trying to say early on.”
