Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo was disappointed by the 65^th Emmy Awards ceremony and she openly criticized the producers. The actress thinks there should have been diversity among the performers onstage during a dance tribute.

She tells the Associated Press, “I didn’t see any diversity in the Emmys at all. The Emmys felt so dated to me… That dance number was embarrassing. Did you see one person of color in that dance number?”

Pompeo also praised Grey’s Anatomy for its multiracial cast, adding, “I’m extremely proud of our very, very diverse cast which represents the world that I walk around in every day.”
