Emilia Clarke did the funky chicken dance for ‘Game Of Thrones’ role

Speaking to Jimmy Fallon during her appearance on The Tonight Show, Emilia Clarke has revealed some details from her rather embarrassing audition for Game of Thrones.

The actress, who plays the dragon queen Daenerys Targaryen on the HBO hit series, has admitted that she was very nervous during her audition for the part and wanted to do whatever it took to land the role. She was so eager to please the producers she eventually did the funky chicken dance that turned into the robot.

Recalling the experience, Emilia said: “It was a lot of adrenaline, I was very nervous. It was a big deal. There were lots of people from cable network HBO there and I was kind of anxious and I did all of the scenes, and at the end, I said, ‘Is there anything else I can do?’

“Show runner David Benioff then suggested I do a dance. So I did. I don’t know how to do it, but I did the funky chicken and it kind of morphed into the robot and I heard some laughter and I thought, ‘Comedy gold, this is brilliant. I’m nailing it’.”

Game of Thrones Season 4 premieres on HBO on Sunday, April 6.

I didn’t recognize Emilia Clarke without long white hair. She looks different as a dragon queen. I cannot wait to see the premier of the 4th season on HBO. This is a very interesting story I am happy that namely Emilia Clarke was chosen for this role. She is acting perfect as a mother and queen of dragon and she is definitely as a very hot woman and talented actress.

I couldn’t see anybody else playing Daenerys to be honest. Emilia is a great actress and suits the role perfectly.
