Emma Watson graduated from Brown University today with a bachelor’s degree in English literature.
The actress enrolled in the prestigious Ivy League school in 2009. After taking a year off in 2011 she successfully finished her studies.
Speaking about her experience on the campus, Emma has admitted she had some concerns at first.
“On the first day, I walked into the canteen and everyone went completely silent and turned to look at me,” she told The Sunday Times. “I had to say to myself, ‘It’s okay, you can do this. You just have to take a deep breath and gather your courage.'”
In 2011, in an interview, she said: “I was in denial. I wanted to pretend I wasn’t as famous as I was. I was trying to seek out normality, but I kind of have to accept who I am, the position I’m in and what happened.”
However, she managed to blend in over time.
“I’ve never even been asked for an autograph on campus. I threw a party for nearly 100 students and not a single person put a photo on Facebook,” the actress explained.
