One of the best ways to raise awareness of the world’s biggest issues is to have a celebrity supporting the cause. Ewan McGregor decided to show his support to Unicef’s campaign against world hunger by motivating his fans to join in a mass demonstration in London on June 8, 2013. On that day David Cameron, British Prime Minister, is hosting a meeting on the world’s hunger crisis.
The actor linked to the event’s official website on Twitter and the message on the site that says: “We want the G8 leaders to take action on the four big issues that mean so many people do not get enough food; aid, land, tax and transparency. By taking part in Hyde Park, you will be part of this iconic campaign. This is your chance to be part of the action – we can’t do it without you.”
