Comedy was dominated by men for a long time, but things have changed and now we can see a lot of really talented ladies who know how to make people laugh. These women are hilarious and we love watching them on TV shows and in movies. Here are some of the funniest actresses out there.
Born in Sydney, Australia, Rebel Wilson is an actress, writer, producer and stand-up comedian. She first caught the public’s attention with her stage musical The Westie Monologues, which she wrote, produced and starred in in Sydney. You can see her in Bridesmaids, A Few Best Men, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, Bachelorette and Pitch Perfect. Variety named Rebel one of their “Top Ten Comics to Watch for 2011”.
Rashida is best known as Ann Perkins from the NBC series Parks and Recreation, and for her recurring role in the popular comedy The Office. She has had numerous film roles, including those in Our Idiot Brother, The Social Network, The Muppets, and I Love You, Man. Besides being an actress, Rashida is also a comic book author, screenwriter and singer.
Kristen has proven she was born to do comedy during her work on the NBC hit series Saturday Night Live from 2005 to 2012. Wiig co-wrote, and starred in, the movie Bridesmaids and she received a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress – Musical/Comedy, as well as nominations for the Academy Award and BAFTA for Best Original Screenplay.
Even though she started her career in 1988, Lynch is best known as Sue Sylvester on the hit show, Glee. She got fantastic reviews for her role as the aggressive cheerleading coach and won a Golden Globe and an Emmy for the role. Lynch has also guest-starred on a number of comedies such as Two and a Half Men, Weeds, and iCarly, as well as in movies such as Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Role Models, and The Three Stooges.
Julia is an actress, comedian and TV producer. She got her big break in 1990 when she was cast as Elaine Benes on Seinfeld, one of the most critically and commercially successful sitcoms of all time. Julia won an Emmy, Golden Globe, and five SAG Awards for her role on Seinfeld. As Christine Campbell on The New Adventures of Old Christine she won an Emmy and two Emmys as Selina Meyer on Veep.

Acclaimed comedian, Tina Fey spent nine years working on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live. She is also known for creating 30 Rock, where she plays Liz Lemon. Fey has won an Emmy, two Golden Globes, and four Screen Actors Guild Awards for her role as Liz Lemon. The Associated Press honored Fey with the 2008 AP Entertainer of the Year award for her impersonation of former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live. In 2010, Fey received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, and thus became the youngest person to ever win the award. As for her movie career, Tina has appeared in movies such as Mean Girls, Baby Mama, Date Night, Admission, Megamind, and Muppets Most Wanted.
Just like her friend Tina Fey, Amy worked on the NBC television show Saturday Night Live and it earned her two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Her role of Leslie Hope in Parks and Recreation brought her eight Emmy Award nominations and the 2014 Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Musical or Comedy Series.
Jennifer gained worldwide recognition for her role as Rachel Green on Friends. For this role she won an Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Award. Since Friends ended in 2004, Aniston has found great success starring in a number of hit movies, including Bruce Almighty, The Break-Up, Marley & Me, Just Go with It, Horrible Bosses, and We’re the Millers.

Awe yeah, Jennifer Aniston really is one of the funniest movie stars ever. Her role in the sitcom “Friends” has made her an idol for the entire America and the whole world. I have laughed so hard at all the funny faces she was making during the “Friends” TV show, frankly speaking I have watched it only because of her, because she is just so much fun. I would love to have such a friend by my side, I am sure my life would have been much better, and much more interesting. I think that in her life she is the same kind of person as she is on the screen, same mischievous and same ready for some crazy things as well as being an awesome friend when someone needs her. Anyway, she is just the best.
Mmmm, Sandra Bullock is one of my favorite actresses, ever since I saw the movie “Speed”, and after that all the following ones, except the one where she had premonitions were also awesome ones. But one of the most hilarious roles she had played was in the movie “the proposal” with Ryan Reynolds, together they are just a wonderful together, if there wasn’t my devotion to Blake Lively since the “Gossip Girl” times, than I would certainly wish Blake and Ryan to get split, so Ryan could be with Sandra, same as in the movie. Gosh, sometimes movie directors are like cupids, they are just perfectly aware of who will be a perfect couple with whom between celebrities, which is very, cool actually. They made a great job with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. And I would be ultimately happy if they would have done same thing with Sandra Bullock; she is really great and deserves happiness.
Rebel Wilson, is actually a very funny one. I enjoyed seeing her in the “Bridesmaids” movies, I think if there wasn’t her than the movie wouldn’t be that much fun as it was. It is same as “The Hangover” also an awesome movie, but mostly due to Zach Galifianakis, if taking him away from it, than the movie will be not interesting at all. So same with her, she was making the entire show. Actually I have no idea why didn’t they list Melissa McCarthy here, as Awe God; I have never seen any actress being funnier than she is! She is just awesome, and the truth is she is awesome in each movie where she performs, and she doesn’t even need to look slim and gorgeous, she is awesome just the way she is.
