Gina Gershon was hesitant about Donatella Versace role

936full-gina-gershon When she was initially offered to portray Donatella Versace in new TV movie House of Versace, Gina Gershon wasn’t willing to accept it. The actress was afraid the fashion designer would be turned into a “flamboyant caricature”.

When her agents first presented the project, Gina didn’t really like the sound of it and she hesitated. However, once she read the script, the Bound star was amazed and finally accepted the role.

I can understand Gina being reluctant at first. It is not an easy task to portray famous people. It is a very hard job. Gina is a brilliant actress and I am sure she will cope with the role and do her best. I am looking forward to see how it turned out.
