Actress Gwyneth Paltrow wants her children – Apple, nine, and Moses, seven, to be bilingual and that’s why she sometimes only lets them speak Spanish.
An eye witness heard the actress urging her kids to speak Spanish at Cameron Diaz’s home for the wedding of her assistant Jesse Lutz on October 12.
The source told Us Weekly: ”Gwyneth reminded them throughout the party. At one point, Apple came to her table and asking, in Spanish, if she could sit on her lap.”
Paltrow is often criticized for her parenting choices. She recently spoke about it in an interview with the UK’s Red magazine.
She said: ”The idea of ‘Oh God, if I don’t show up to this concert, all the other mums are going to think I’m terrible’, Well, so f**king what.’ It’s like, when I’m with my kids, I give them everything I have. And when I’m not, I give whatever I’m doing everything I have. And that’s my work/life balance.”
I agree with Gwyneth, we live in such a time to combine work and life together. We cannot always be with kids, but we shouldn’t forget about them either. They need to feel our care, love and dedication. I also like her to want her kids be bilingual. The more languages children know the better. Languages are easier to be taught when you are a kid, so, Gwyneth made the right choice!
