Helen Mirren and Elle McPherson took a part in the campaign “Donate a coat”

A number of famous and successful models, actresses and designers took part in the campaign for the charity fund «Age UK», which designed to provide warm clothing in need of elderly British citizens. Among the participants of the campaign “Donate a Coat” there are a 66-year-old actress Helen Mirren, a 40-year-old British designer Stella McCartney and a 48-year-old Austrian model and actress Elle McPherson. According to the charitable company «Age UK», every winter day die 250 elderly people. “It’s a shock that so many people suffer and even die from the cold in winter. Donate a coat that you will never wear or what you love very mush, or a new one is very simple” – said Elle McPherson. By the way, England breaks records for deaths from cold. Compared with countries with similar climates (Finland and Norway) there are too much victims of frost. The action was attended not only stars but also ordinary people. In the UK, opened 450 stores, which are titled “Age UK” – there anyone could come and give warm clothing. In 2010, for “Age UK” the things were donated by Sarah Jessica Parker, Justin Timberlake and Brooke Shields. They all decided to help people, who do not have warm clothes. So a lot of ordinary people gave their clothes too. Their actions help people to not die of frost.
