After being fired from Grey’s Anatomy in 2007 because of the anti-gay remarks directed at co-star T.R. Knight, Isaiah Washington will return as Preston Burke for one of Sandra Oh‘s final shows.
Isaiah’s character left Grey’s Anatomy by leaving Cristina at the altar to conclude the season 3. Now the show’s creator Shonda Rhimes has confirmed that Washington will be back for an episode in May.
Rhimes said in a statement: “It’s important to me that Cristina’s journey unfolds exactly as it should. Burke is vital to that journey – he gives her story that full-circle moment we need to properly say goodbye to our beloved Cristina Yang.”
I am glad that Isaiah Washington is back to ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. Indeed, without him the TV series cannot exist. I am looking for the continuation with much anticipation and hope. Glad that things have solved this way!
Well, I am quite happy for the fact that Preston Burke is returning to the “Grey’s Anatomy” show, even if only for one episode, but what the heck do they mean when they say that they should properly say goodbye to Christina Yang, what do they mean, and why are they trying to get rid of Christina, she is one of the best characters in the show, without her poisoning sarcasm the show would simply be not good, that is something really sad, I don’t like that. Actually I hate that, as I cannot imagine who will keep calming down always suffering and being paranoiac about having Alzheimer, Meredith. Or maybe they want to add another character instead of her, but if they will do that would be a mistake, honestly speaking till season four I simply hated Christina, and only after three reasons I realized her charm.
Yay, they are bringing back Preston Burke, hmm I am wondering what will happen between him and Christina, love doesn’t go away that simple, and I am sure about that, so maybe there is a new beginning for those two in the show. From the other side, Owen Hunt has already said goodbye to his new lady that is kind of bad moment about that, as he already suffered a lot due to Christina so I don’t want him to suffer even more, he is a good person, one of the best ones in the show actually.
Hmm, Preston Burke coming back, and by means of that the show is saying properly goodbye to Christina Yang, I certainly don’t like that news, so what they didn’t made contract with her for the next seasons, or what? How can they possibly think of shooting the new episodes of “Grey’s Anatomy” without Christina? So if thinking logically than it means that they are going to “kill” her through a surgery that she will not be able to make through and Preston Burke would be exactly the person who would be supposed to operate her. Awe my Gosh that is so sad.
