Jason Biggs apologises for Malaysian Airlines tragedy joke

biggs After being heavily criticized for the Twitter joke about Malaysian Airlines plane crash, in which 298 people lost their lives, Jason Biggs has issued an apology and deleted his previous tweets.

Shortly after the news of the tragedy broke, Biggs tweeted: “Anyone wanna buy my Malaysia Airlines frequent flier miles?”

This remark has received a backlash from his Twitter followers and, after initially trying to defend himself, Jason finally apologized.

“Hey all- ok, so- I am deleting my previous tweets. People were offended, and that was not my intent. Sorry to those of you that were,” he wrote.

“This is obviously a horrible tragedy, and everyone-including myself- is sad and angry about it. Sending positive thoughts to the victims and their families. P.S. No one is making me send these tweets- I simply understand that my comments might have come off as insensitive and ill-timed. For that, I apologize.”
