According to RadarOnline, Jennifer Aniston wants to revive the popular 90s show Friends on Broadway.

She is reportedly planning to turn the sitcom into a musical and wants Lea Michele to take the role of Rachel Green.

A source said:  ”Jen has completely fallen in love with the idea of a Broadway-ready Friends musical. It’s even gotten to the point where she’s had some deep talks with her friend Sheryl Crow about creating ’90s style music for the project, which of course would feature an entirely new crop of actors playing young versions of the now 40-something ‘Friends’ stars.”

The source also added: ”Jen has told friends that ‘Glee’ singing powerhouse Lea Michele would make the perfect Rachel in this project, and it simply becomes a matter of convincing Jen’s good friend, Warner Bros. executive Peter Roth, of the viability of the idea. The show’s creators can actually be bypassed if Jen can get the studio on-board.

”Jen thinks the whole idea is hilarious and too fun to pass up, and she also jokingly refers to it as her ‘billion dollar idea.’ ”

A film is pointless, a musical is pointless. the best you could hope for is a TV special show how terrible chandler and moniker are as parents and the never ending will they wont they will Ross and Rachel, we were on a break

I’m all for a Friends movie with the original cast but not so sure about the musical idea with other people trying and failing to live up to the amazing actors who played these legendary characters.

Yeah…I don’t know about this one. Maybe a one-off movie catching up on where they are now, like Sex and the City did, but not a musical. The show is a comedy and having the cast randomly breaking out in song just wouldn’t be taken seriously.
