Last month Jenny McCarthy was announced as a new co-presenter of ‘The View’. She is Joy Behar’s permanent replacement on the topical ABC talk show, and because of her new job Jenny has moved from Chicago to New York City.

The 40-year-old beauty arrived in New York on Sunday (August 25), but she didn’t spend much time in new apartment that day. She came from the airport, dropped off her luggage and went straight to In Touch magazine’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) after-party at Finale, according to a source.

The insider told the New York Post: ”She literally went straight from the airport to her new apartment to drop off her belongings, and then got in a cab to the party.”

McCarthy appeared on ‘The View’ 17 times over the years and she is very excited to become permanent part of the show and get the chance to work with other starts and especially Barbara Walters. ”I’m beyond thrilled to be joining Barbara and the other amazing women at the table. I’d like to thank ABC for this great opportunity. I look forward to helping make hot topics a little bit hotter, and showing my mom that my interrupting skills have finally paid off,” Jenny said.
