After the throat surgery during which she stopped breathing, Joan Rivers was put in a medically-induced coma and she is still on life support.
Rivers was rushed to the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City on Thursday after going into cardiac arrest during an operation to fix her vocal chords.
Joan’s daughter Melissa has released a new statement, which reads: “My mother would be so touched by the tributes and prayers that we have received from around the world. Her condition remains serious but she is receiving the best treatment and care possible. We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts as we pray for her recovery.”
