Following his misreading of singer Idina Menzel’s name at the Academy Awards
ceremony on Sunday, John Travolta has become one of the most talked-about people thanks to the mistake he has made.
Introducing the singer’s performance from Frozen, which won the Best Song award, Travolta called Menzel “the wickedly talented, one and only Adele Nazeem”.
He has now released a statement, saying: “I’ve been beating myself up all day. Then I thought… what would Idina Menzel say, She’d say, ‘Let it go, let it go!’ Idina is incredibly talented and I am so happy Frozen took home two Oscars Sunday night!”
