This Thursday Julianne Moore got her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The four-time Oscar nominee received 2,507th star in the category of Motion Pictures. She was joined by her co-star Chloe Grace Moretz from upcoming movie Carrie and her fellow Don Jon actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt for the unveiling ceremony.
“An actress like Julie, she’s not faking it when she’s performing; she’s feeling the things that the character’s feeling. It’s a difficult thing to do and it’s a fine line, but an audience can tell it right away,” Gordon-Levitt praised of Moore in his speech.
Looking fabulous in knee-length yellow Dolce & Gabbana dress, Julianne happily posed for pictures. “Growing up it never even occurred to me that it was possible to be an actor for a living, I had never met one or seen a real play and I thought acting was what you did after school because you couldn’t play sports,” the actress said at the ceremony.
“I did it because my favorite thing to do was read and it was a way for me to imagine I was in the book. I loved being inside the story but being a movie star was even more realistic, I didn’t think they were real people, I thought they were something I had dreamt. I never expected this, I am thrilled and shocked to be included in this community,” she added.
