In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Keith Urban openly speaks about his struggles with drug and alcohol abuse and praises his wife, Nicole Kidman, who helped him get back on track.
Urban entered rehab in 2006, shortly after he and Nicole got married.
“I didn’t give a s**t about anything except turning a corner in my life and doing whatever it took for that,” he says. “I was very, very blessed to have Nic call an intervention on me. I had a tight group of friends around me for the intervention. And off I went.”
Speaking about Nicole, the Australian singer adds: “I have a wife who is just from another planet. She is so celestial. I say that I was born into her. That is the best way I can describe how I feel about her and us.
“There’s a fearlessness about Nic. It’s funny, it’s not a fearlessness, it’s a willingness to face it anyway… I think she’s helped me shed some of my limitations. That’s very liberating creatively.
“She doesn’t have that sense of having to please people as much as just be a true artist. I love that about her. She doesn’t mind failing at stuff to get to the place where it works. I don’t even know if she can do anything and feel silly or awkward. She’s not wired that way.”
For me it is a great pleasure to watch Nicole Kidman and her new husband Keith Urban, as i can really see how happy they are with each other and how huge is their mutual love! When Nicole was with Tom Cruise, during all those years i haven’t seen her even half that happy as she is with Keith! He is the man of her life, Tom due to all of his complexes was always unfair to Nicole and brought her a lot of suffering, and even the fact that they were not able to have children together i guess is speaking about itself, i guess this way God was showing to her that she needs another man. And i am very happy she met that man with whom she became really happy and God has given them two wonderful children!
What can be more beautiful in this life when seeing a happy woman with sparkling from happiness eyes. I agree that maybe Keith is not the man of dream but i can surely say that he is a wonderful man, as the way he is treating his wife, like a real queen, has helped her overcoming all of her fear, and this way she opened herself to a brand new thing in her life! She has become a mother to two of their wonderful children, yes she had two children before that, but they were adopted, so eventually the feeling towards them was not same as the feeling to children whom she felt under her heart and the way their heart was beating inside her belly.
I think Nicole Kidman has changed a lot since the time when she is with Keith Urban, when she was with Tom there were rare cases when i saw her looking happy. The majority of times she looked like she was accepting the situation the way it is, instead of fighting for her happiness, and at some point she probably got enough of Tom bossing her and acting like he can do anything he wants, without even asking her, which wasn’t nice, but he kepg acting like this, i am sure that is the reason why his second marriage has also collapsed and he remained alone. There is not even one woman on earth that will be tolerating not fair attitude towards her from a man who pretends that he loves.
