Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Kelly Clarkson admitted she is not enjoying her pregnancy as she has a severe case of morning sickness.
”I vomit a good dozen times a day. It’s, like, bad. I vomited before coming out here and I had a peppermint so you didn’t know … I’m not even kidding, it’s so bad. It’s so bad. I know it’s, like, so gross,” she said.
Kelly, who is expecting her first child with husband Brandon Blackstock, still doesn’t see any of the benefits of the pregnancy she’s been told about.
She explained: ”Everybody tells you that you glow and your hair is pretty and your nails are pretty. That’s total crap! My nails are short, my hair still falls out – it’s not all lush and beautiful – and I have no glow. Unless it’s, like, something left over from a bad throw up. It’s horrible.”
However, the 31-year-old star did find a positive side of being pregnant and that’s ditching alcohol. Now this is a good thing since Kelly is not very good at handling drink.
”It’s weird. I’m not a big drinker, but if I am drinking, it’s like I’m trying to win some award. It’s really bad. It’s like, ‘I’m gonna get the drunkest! Who’s holding my hair?’ It’s really bad. I’m not a good drinker,” she said.
Thanks Kelly for your candid nature and sincere interview. Well, the pregnancy is not a gift for everyone. For some women it is a quite easy ‘time’ and some really experience hardships. Kelly is one of the last ones. Well, I hope she enjoys pregnancy after 3 months and will be happier when she delivers a baby. I wish her easier pregnancy and delivering a healthy baby to the world.
I hope Kelly’s pregnancy after the third trimester will be more ’merciful’ on her. Being sick and giddy and having your hair falling out is not the best way to enjoy pregnancy and awaiting a new comer to this world. I still hope she copes with this gracefully and that her baby is as beautiful as she is, smart and healthy.
