Kevin Spacey voices his support for Venezuelan protesters

House of Cards star Kevin Spacey wrote a blog piece to show his support for the protesters in Venezuela.

In early 2014 people have taken to the streets throughout Venezuela to protest about inflation, food shortage and high levels of criminal violence in the country. More than 35 people have died in the clashes and hundreds more have been injured.

In his blog, Spacey calls on readers to show support for the anti-government protests.

He wrote: “I support all of the Venezuelans who peacefully and non-violently claim their right to self-determination and protest. I hope you will join me in asking them not to give up and to not become numb to the violations and abuses committed against them. We who are fortunate enough to live in freedom must stand up to oppression and injustice and remind the Venezuelan people that they are on the right side of history. Please show your support in whatever way you can.”

“Freedom isn’t free.” This is going to be a long, hard slog. And the Cuban puppet masters have had 50+ years of practice in holding on to power by repressing people and ignoring basic human rights. To say nothing of ignoring world opinion. What’s even more unimaginable is that they did it without the devil’s excrement.
I don’t suggest another strike, I suggest a total sit-in. A hundred thousand souls surrounding the government buildings.
