As long as he wants to play Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, Kit Harington mustn’t change his hairstyle.
The actor is contractually obligated to not cut it if he wants to keep his job.
Appearing on Live! With Kelly and Michael, Kit said: “I’m not allowed to cut it and I didn’t realize this until recently. I wanted to cut it, I’ve had long hair for ages and they were like, ‘No, no, no, that won’t be happening.’
“It’s very funny when you get into these things and people get obsessed by little things like hair and appearance. So there’s all these ridiculous conversations that go back and forth between agents and managers… It gets silly, it gets really silly.”
I honestly don’t really understand why Kit Harington would need a new haircut, sometimes things that you have for ages are much better than the ones you just got. I change my hair style often and I can say for sure that the only reason why I am doing that, is because I am not sure in the day of tomorrow, that is why I worry a lot, and as a result of my stress I change myself completely a lot, I cannot say that it drives me into something better, but I can for sure say that I change a lot inside, and it helps. As far as I understand Kit doesn’t have this kind of problem, this way such changes are eventually in vain, I think he should rather concentrate on his performing skills.
Yeah I understand Kit very well, probably he got sick with his day to day routine, that is probably not changing at all for a very long time, and that is the reason why he decided to make such major changes in his life, what I do not understand, is why he is so tight to the contract and what people would say?! He is the main character in the “Game of Thrones” so eventually they will not kick him off for the new hair, as for the viewer of the movie will be much easier to get used to his new hair, or new look, than to a brand new actor, who in the case if Kit will be dismissed will replace him. That is real non sense; Harington should do whatever he likes!
Hmm, if looking from a different angle than it means that Kit is not that much important in the movie, because the producers of the show can easily talk like this to him, showing him lack of respect, I think the fact that he will be fired from the show if he will cut his hair is an insult! He is not some Hermione Granger who has a certain image, and still at some point she did cut her hair even while performing in the same movie, he is the star of this movie, so producers are the ones who are supposed to ask him if they are allowed to do certain things or not. Their attitude towards Kit is so unfair that I feel like I want to kick someone’s ass!
