Lea Michele: There was no greater man than Cory

2012 Do Something Awards - Red Carpet Speaking to TV Week Australia, Lea Michele has opened up for the first time about Cory Monteith’s death.

Michele and Cory were real-life and onscreen couple and the actress said she feels like she has “lost two people”.

“For me personally, I’ve lost two people – Cory and Finn,” the Glee star said. “We had a beautiful memorial for Cory in the auditorium and some of the cast members sang and people spoke about him. It only felt right that we would do the same thing for Finn, so I felt it was very therapeutic.”

Cory-Monteith-and-Lea-Michele-2053463Monteith died in July from an accidental drug overdose and Michele, who returned to the set a few weeks after his death, said that work has been a big help to her. She said: “Everyone is asking, ‘Is it hard to do this? Is it hard to be back at work?’, but the truth is it’s no harder at work than it is in life. So we might as well all be together as a family supporting each other to get through this together.”

“There was no greater man than Cory, so for the time we spent together I consider myself very lucky,” the actress added.

I am very sorry such bad things happen in life of such a gorgeous, talented and charming lady. They looked a perfect couple both on screen and in real life! Indeed, it was a double loss! I hope she gets over this soon as a beautiful lady’s should enjoy life and move on. Sometimes the fate is not merciful on us and gives us hard times. I feel pity for her!
