Leah Remini files missing person report for Scientology leader’s wife

Leah_Remini After parting ways with the Church of Scientology, Leah Remini has filed a missing person report for Scientology leader David Miscavige’s wife Shelly. The actress and her family left the controversial church last month and Leah has now made her concerns for Miscavige’s  wife public by getting the police involved.

An LAPD spokesperson said: ”We can confirm that the missing person report has been taken and that’s all the information we have at this time.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Shelly has not been seen in public since 2007, but the police have made some sort of contact with her. Reportedly Shelly has been residing in a ”secret compound near Lake Arrowhead in the mountains above Los Angeles” since 2006, alongside several other Scientologists, who are ”completely cut off from the outside world.”

leahChurch of Scientology, however, has strongly denied the claims, insisting they are just a publicity stunt. Shelley’s lawyer said: ”Any reports that she is missing are false. Mrs. Miscavige has been working non-stop in the Church, as she always has.” They also said that the whole story was “cooked up by a small band of unemployed fanatics who live on the fringe of the internet.”
