Betty Ford team’s decision to exclude Adderall from Lindsay Lohan’s therapy has brought some new problems. According to a source at the clinic, the actress has gained 5 pounds since she stopped taking the drug, which is meant for the children with ADHD syndrome. However, Adderall is also used as an appetite suppressant among Hollywood stars.

The source said: “Lindsay has been exercising, but she just doesn’t have a lot of energy because she is no longer taking Adderall, which is a psycho-stimulant medication that contains amphetamine.”

The actress claims that she hasn’t been abusing the drug and that she really needs it. “I have severe Attention Deficit Disorder. I can’t stand still. So I take Adderall, it calms me. I know people who take it to stay up, or girls who take it to supposedly stay slim because it kills your appetite. But I eat all the time. I just take it to stay calm,” Lohan said.
