Here’s some good news for all the CSI fans: Marg Helgenberger will return for the 300^th episode. After retiring from the show in January 2012 after 12 seasons since 2000, Helgenberger’s Catherine Willows will be brought back to help the team solve a case that has eluded them for more than a decade.

The network has revealed that the 300th episode, which will take place in the show’s 14th season, is due to premiere on September 25. Executive producer Don McGill said: “We will flash back 14 years to seminal moments that show Catherine, Nick, Sara, Greg and Ecklie as they were, (and how that) informed the evolution of the characters now. It’s going to be a really fun episode, very emotional.”
