Just a few days after Tom Cruise’s statement in which he compares acting job to serving in Afghanistan went viral, Mark Wahlberg had a few things to say to the actors who complain about hard training.
The 42-year-old actor, who stars in new movie Lone Survivor, based on the memoirs of Navy SEAL officer Marcus Luttrell, shocked the audience during a highly emotional Q&A session for the premiere of the film.
When Festival Director, Jacqueline Lyanga, turned to Wahlberg to ask about his rigorous training and the rough shoot, he unloaded, saying: ”For actors to sit there and talk about ‘Oh, I went to SEAL training’ … I don’t give a f**k what you did. You don’t do what these guys did. For somebody to sit there and say my job was as difficult as being in the military? How f**king dare you, while you sit in a makeup chair for two hours. I don’t give a s**t if you get your ass busted. You get to go home at the end of the day. You get to go to your hotel room. You get to order your f***ing chicken. Or your steak. Whatever the f*** it is.”
Wahlberg’s rep told TMZ that Mark loves Tom and was in no way referencing him in his comments.
Well, actors, who shoot in war movies have nothing as hard as the soldiers, so no need of stupid comparisons! This is the highest stupidity and I agree with Mark Wahlberg. Actor’s training cannot be as hard as that of soldiers, they have completely differing professions and this is evident to everyone.
