Most expensive insured body parts of stars

Most people usually ensure their cars, homes or lives. However, celebrities aren’t ordinary in any way, so when it comes to insurance, they have taken it to a whole different level. Our beloved stars insure their body parts and some of those policies are quite expensive. Here’s the list of the top celebrity insurances.

America Ferrera

America Ferrera insured her teeth for $10 million at Lloyd’s of London. But her decision to do so wasn’t based on vanity. Instead she did it for a teeth whitening brand for their charity campaign.

Heidi Klum

Former Victoria Secret model Heidi Klum insured her legs for $2 million in 2004. However, her legs aren’t equally valued. “Basically, I was in London, and I had to go to this place where they check out your legs. They would look at them and I had one scar here from when I fell on a glass, so this [left leg] isn’t as pricey as this [right] one,” Heidi said.

Dolly Parton

Dolly insured her size 40DD breasts for $300,000 each in 1970. More than forty later, her boobs are worth almost $4 million. “I look at my boobs like they’re show horses or show dogs. You’ve got to keep them groomed,” she said.

Rihanna

The singer has insured her sexy legs for $1 million. “I work with a trainer,” Rihanna told People. “We work on the arms. I don’t want manly, muscular arms. We work out my butt because I love my butt. But my legs are my main focus. I’m obsessed.”

Tom Jones

Rumor has it that Tom Jones has insured his famous chest hair for $7 million. Media reports have confirmed the policy was taken out with the world-renowned Lloyd’s of London. If true, this is certainly one of the weirdest celebrity insurance requests.

Holly Madison

Former Playboy model Holly Madison insured her breasts for $1 million. “I’ve heard about people getting body parts insured and I thought, why not? Because if anything happened to my boobs, I’d be out for a few months and I’d probably be out a million dollars. I thought I’d cover my assets. They’re my primary money makers right now,” she said.

Mariah Carey

One might think Mariah Carey would be worried about insuring her voice, which is what made her famous in the first place. Instead, she opted to insure her legs in 2006 for $1 billion after being named the face of Gillette’s Legs Of A Goddess campaign. A source told British newspaper the Daily Mirror at the time, “The sum reflects her popularity. She’s about to start a U.S. tour and she’ll have to be careful.”

Daniel Craig

Since Daniel Craig performed many of the stunts in the James Bond movies, it’s no surprise that the actor took out a $9.5 million policy on his whole body. “He does a lot more than Pierce used to do,” chief stunt coordinator Gary Powell told The Guardian, “and he’s allowed to because he’s capable of doing it. He thinks, ‘You’re paying to see me, and that’s me doing it.’ He wants the audience to know.”

Jennifer Lopez

According to reports, Lopez insured her famous booty for $300 million. “I was always very comfortable with who I was. Confident,” Lopez told Marie Claire UK in 2010 about her body. “I’ve never looked at my body in a negative way.”

Too bad some of these celebrities didn’t insure their “careers”…. They could have cashed in big time now that no one cares about them anymore…

  2. Susana says:

It’s a shame they don’t have brains enough to insure their brains.

When you’re literally insuring a body part to maintain your fame, what does that say about you as a star to begin with.
