Nicolas Cage doesn’t regret any decision he has made in his career, explaining that he took roles in big action movies just to prove to his critics that he can do it.
Speaking to Red Bull’s Red Bulletin, he said: ”I don’t look at it like that. Much has been made of the fact that I made many action movies. The reason I did that was because the first time people said, you couldn’t do it. ‘You are not an action hero, forget it’. So what you saw was a dramatic actor acting like an action hero, trying to find characters that were interesting within the genre.
”And then I tried to mix in a little ‘Lord of War’, a little ‘World Trade Center’, ‘The Weather Man’ and ‘Bad Lieutenant’ and keep the spectrum going. Now having done that, I want to focus on the dramatic kind of film-making.”
Cage says that now he wants to focus more on deeper characters and dramatic movies.
He added: ”I am in the process of reinventing myself in terms of the movies I want to do. I am returning to my roots, which is independently spirited, dramatic characters. I wanted to find something where I could use my life experience, my memories and my emotions.”
I believe Nicolas cage is a very universal character. He is perfect as well as in dramatic movie, as well in actions. Still, there are so many action movies these days in Hollywood and I like Nicolas in his dramatic roles. He is very deep and sensual actor that practically embodies the characters on the screen. I laugh and emphasize with him, smile and cry. He is absolutely amazing adn stunning!

If I were Nicolas Cage I would be very proud of myself and my choices too. He is a great actor and very talented. Nicolas is very true on eth screen and I cannot forget his family man movie. He is just the best and f..k the rest!
