Robert Pattinson: I don’t know if I have an audience

Twilight movies have brought him fame, but Robert Pattinson admits he doesn’t know who his audience is outside of the successful movie franchise. That’s why he has been taking on roles that are different and is doing his best to prove himself as a diverse actor.

Speaking at the Cannes film festival, he said: ”I had done so many parts where I was super-still – like the whole of Twilight. It’s so restrictive. You do something like The Rover where you have blood all over your face; you can’t be expected to fit into any kind of mold.

”Also, I don’t really know who my audience is. I don’t know if I have an audience. Outside of ‘Twilight’, I don’t know.”

Stars On The Set Of 'Maps To The Stars'Pattinson has also been trying to avoid having his photo taken lately as he wants to keep his face out of the tabloids.

“I’m just trying to not be in stupid gossip magazines, basically, and I think the best way to do it is never be photographed ever,” he explains. ”As I get older, I just get more and more and more self-conscious about getting photographed. I don’t know why. I’ve done it too many times and now I feel like everyone can see through me.”
