Australian singer and actor Rolf Harris, who was already facing 13 charges – four counts of possessing indecent images of children and nine of indecent assault involving two girls aged 14 and 15 during the 1980s, is now facing three more allegations of sexual assault, including one relating to a girl aged seven or eight years old.
The 83-year-old entertainer is accused of attacking the child during the 60s and is also said to have attacked a 14-year-old girl in 1975 and a girl aged 19 in 1984.
The three new offences were included in the file sent by the police to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
A spokesperson for the CPS said: “These three allegations were included in the file sent to the Cps by the Metropolitan Police in August of this year; however, as part of the ongoing review process for all cases, it has been decided that these allegations should be formally added to the indictment as further counts. Evidence relating to these further counts has already been served on the court and the defense, so it is not necessary for Mr. Harris to appear again at magistrates’ court.”
Harris will appear in court for a plea on January 14, 2014 with a preliminary trial date set for April 30.
Rolf Harris, well, well, well… I believe there is no smoke without a fire. Maybe not everything stated in these offences is true, but if he will see the court, it means the evidences are close to be true. I look for the details of the court and if Rolf is guilty, he should get his punishment, still, it will never cancel what he did. I will be looking for more news on this case. I am very intrigued.
