Samuel L. Jackson doesn’t care that his stuntman got injured on set.
The actor doesn’t hide the fact that he used a body double a lot for his role in Captain America: The Winter Solider and believes that injuries are part of a stuntman’s job, so he has little concern for his double’s welfare.
Jackson told BANG Showbiz: ”I use my stunt man extensively I have no issues with him being hurt that’s what he’s paid to do. He loves it, he’s from a stunt family, his father was a stunt man, all of his brothers are stunt men. Before they eat breakfast in the morning their dad kicked them down the stairs, or made them jump out of the window to come down to get their breakfast. So I used Kianti Elam, God, he worked more than l do sometimes.”
The 65-year-old star firmly believes that actors shouldn’t do their own stunts as there are people who are much better at it.
”It’s way better to see him. You stand there, they throw a punch, you duck out of the way, they fight, you get up and go ‘urgh’, that’s it. Believe me, it’s good for you,” he explained.
Samuel L. Jackson has a very professional attitude to the stuntman that does tricks in the movies for him. What else other people expected? Everyone is doing their job and this is what they are paid for. Why would Samuel care for other person welfare when they are not friends or close people. It is just the business and part of the deal. The stuntman is supposed to get the stunts and sometimes get injured. This is what he has chosen as his cup of tea and apparently enjoys, doing.
Well Samuel L Jackson, always was a very rude person, and he plays same kind of roles. I remember after seeing that movie about two young people moving into a house in Lakeview I made my own personal opinion about him for good. For some reason I think that a person who is performing same kind of roles all the time is or same as the character performed, or is on the way to become that person, or already became that person he is performing. I do not believe in accidental similarities, I believe that everything that happens, happens for a reason.
I can’t believe it! I can’t believe my own eyes, when I read something like this, what are we expecting from the growing generations, if the actors like Samuel L. Jackson who is a big star, are giving such a example of merciless attitude towards a person. I can understand that we all are people, and we all are doing some different things in this world, it all depends on our education and efforts made, but still it doesn’t meant that something like this can be done. I am shocked. He is supposed to show an example a good example, and instead of that he shows only some bad features.
Well I agree with Samuel L. Jackson, yeah the dude got injured, and yeah that sucks, but from the other side that dude was paid for something like that, so there is no place for complaint in there, and I do not understand that’s with the rush around, yes something like this happens, but being a stuntman is same as working at the fire station, you should be prepared to the worst possible situation all the time, and not be afraid to face it. So I am sure that with this kind of preparing it will be quite easy for that person to get better soon.
