Scariest celebrity stalkers

After a week of courtroom drama, a woman who was stalking Alec Baldwin was found guilty on all charges and sentenced to 7 months in jail. But this is just the latest case of celebrity stalker and, unfortunately, Mr. Baldwin is not the only star who has experienced this kind of harassment. Check out some other celebrities that had to deal with stalkers.

Britney Spears

It all started when the Masahiko Shizawa, who was said to be madly in love with Britney, began sending Spears love letters, e-mails and pictures of himself along with messages like “I’m chasing you” back in 2002. A restraining order was issued, but Shizawa still stalked the singer outside two of her houses as well as her parents’ home, trying to gain entry wherever he could. Then, in an odd turn of events, Shizawa ended up trying to sue Spears after a confrontation ensued with her bodyguards outside of her house. He claimed he suffered “extreme emotional stress” after one of Brit’s protectors pointed a gun at the man. However, the case was quickly dismissed.

Selena Gomez

46-year-old Thomas Brodnicki began stalking then 19-year-old Selena Gomez in 2011, and he allegedly told his shrink he was going to kill Gomez. According to TMZ, Brodnicki traveled from Chicago to LA to meet Selena and visited her workplace at least three times.

Mel Gibson

Zack Sinclair, 34, a drifter from Idaho, was sentenced to three years in prison in 2005 for stalking Mel Gibson. Sinclair was arrested in Sept. 2004 after violating a restraining order that banned him from going within 100 yards of Gibson’s Malibu compound where Gibson maintained a residence, children’s school and chapel.

Miley Cyrus

“I am friends with Miley Cyrus….She’s my wife. Me and Miley have been friends for five years,” is reportedly what Miley Cyrus’ stalker, Jason Luis Rivera, told police when he was caught trying to get into the pop star’s house with a pair of scissors. Cyrus got a permanent restraining order on this guy before Rivera was convicted of misdemeanor trespassing and sentenced to 18 months in jail.

Jennifer Aniston

In 2010, Jason R. Peyton traveled cross-country in a delusional attempt to marry Jennifer Aniston. Police found him with a sharp object, duct tape and love notes to the “Friends” star. Authorities said he was stopped after spending days trying to find Aniston on Sunset Boulevard.

Robert Dewey Hoskins was sentenced to 10 years in jail in 1996 after stalking and threatening to kill Madonna. The singer reluctantly testified against the man, who was shot by her personal security after he jumped the fence of her Hollywood Hills home. Hoskins was a violent man and had said he was either going to marry Madonna or “slash her throat from ear to ear.”

Charlie Sheen

In March 2011, David Pack was arrested at Sheen’s Mulholland estate. He had apparently driven non-stop from Kansas City, Kansas to Los Angeles because he felt that Sheen was being unfairly “persecuted.”

Halle Berry

In July 2011, actress Halle Berry was terrified after a man named Richard Anthony Franco was spotted trespassing on her property three days in a row. Franco was apprehended and charged with felony stalking and burglary. Berry was also stalked by a man named Greg Broussard, who believed himself to be her fiancé. He even sent an engagement ring to her manager’s office.

Justin Timberlake

Karen McNeil showed up at Timberlake’s house in November 2009, claiming that she was God, and that she and Timberlake were destined to rule together. She also said that “Babylon witches” were after her and she feared they were going to cast an evil spell on her. Of course, authorities promptly took her to a psychiatric facility. She was also arrested for stalking Guns ‘N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose.

Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock’s stalker Marcia Valentine was sentenced to 3 years of probation in 2008, more than a year after she allegedly attempted to run over Bullock’s ex-husband Jesse James with her silver Mercedes Benz. Valentine was also accused of leaving palm fronds adorned with “weird signs” and “pieces of animal fur” in the yard of Bullock’s Sunset Beach home.

Uma Thurman

In 2008, Jack Jordan was convicted of stalking Uma Thurman after he sent her a series of letters and photos, including a shot of a headless bride. He was sentenced to probation, but in 2010, he was arrested for violating his restraining order after he called Thurman and allegedly asked her to marry him.

Jodie Foster

John Hinckley Jr., a 23-year-old who became obsessed with Foster after seeing her in Taxi Driver, followed her around Yale’s campus, called her on the phone, and eventually shot President Ronald Reagan and three others on March 30, 1981 in an attempt to impress her. Just before his attempt on Reagan’s life, Hinckley wrote to Foster: “Over the past seven months I’ve left you dozens of poems, letters and love messages in the faint hope that you could develop an interest in me. Although we talked on the phone a couple of times I never had the nerve to simply approach you and introduce myself…. The reason I’m going ahead with this attempt now is because I cannot wait any longer to impress you.”

Well, stalkers are crazy people and they exist all over the world. This is the bad side of world popularity. There are fans and there are crazy people, who are indeed obsessed with the celebrities they like. I am happy to find out that all stalking stories have ended good for actors and actresses mentioned in this article. I am happy to hear that stalkers have been punished and the one following Alec Baldwin that made him cry at the court was sentenced for her lies. I like when Justice wins.

Yes, people can get indeed crazy about the famous people they like. They just cannot understand they can be quite different from what you see on screen or magazine cover. Besides, why would they need you in their lives? Crazy, these people are sick, agree 100%!!!
