Selena Gomez turns to religion to avoid rehab

Selena Gomez is not in a good place at the moment as she has been dealing with depression for some time and now she is trying to make some positive changes to her life, which includes regular visits to church, HollywoodLife.com reports.

The 21-year-old singer/actress reportedly wants to avoid going to rehab, so she has turned to religion.

A source told the website: “Selena is trying to change her ways by going to church and more so to avoid going to rehab. She feels like she has a spiritual gap and that maybe that’s why she is struggling. She learned about the spiritual aspect in rehab when they talked about the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Her parents are just hoping that this isn’t just some short lived stint to avoid rehab.”

“Her parents and friends love and hate the idea of using religion. They love it that it shows that Selena knows she needs help, and is looking at outlets to heal herself, but hate it because they know that it probably will not work,” another insider said.

“She needs rehab and people who need rehab never want it, and that is the mode that they are in with her at this time.”

Happiness is not taught in school is something we have to figure out. To me is very simpe i don’t expect anybody to make me happy i simply make myself happy by doing the things i love. Is almost like flipping a light switch is up to each of us to choose to be happy or be miserable. Call me crazy but in my world there’s only peace and love….no need to be depressed!
I read something owesome today in a Hindu store “To give peace to the world we first need to have peace in our life” something like that! Millions of people love u Sel….incluing Justin!

This is BS!! Because Selena doesn’t have a substance abuse problem, she suffers from depression since she was diagnosed with lupus. The meadows have a great treatment program from depression and that is the reason she went to rehab, but with a good psychologist she will be fine. Her illness is under control, she just is having a bad time processing it.
